RFT 213462: Invitation to Tender: To carry out a feasibility study on the proposed expansion of the National Equine Innovation Centre
County Kildare Community Network are inviting consultants, with the relevant skills and experience, to submit a tender to conduct a feasibility study on the proposed expansion of the National Equine Innovation Centre
County Kildare Community Network, trading as and under the Brand “Innovate Kildare” was established by Kildare County Council to help drive innovation and act as the delivery mechanism for the projects outlined in the Kildare 2025 economic plan and the Mid-East Regional Enterprise Plan to 2024.
The National Equine Innovation Centre has been established to act as a sectoral stimulus to develop an equine innovation hub of enterprise, innovation, applied research, commercialisation and learning. The project has transformed the original museum on the grounds of the Irish National Stud into an equine innovation centre comprising 4 distinct hub spaces and 15 desks and a meeting room. There is no innovation centre of this kind in Ireland currently. The NEIC offers a single access source of equine technical and entrepreneurial innovation. The building has been reimagined to combine physical infrastructure, service provision and networking appropriate to the growth needs of the Ireland’s high potential equine economy
The feasibility study will prepare a technical plan and costings to allow us to understand exactly the potential for expansion within the equine sector in Ireland and provide us with a detailed value for money analysis for expansion, business revenue models and the investigation of economic benefits to the county and the region. The study is also listed as an action under the Mid-East Regional Enterprise Plan to 2024 and will support the overall REP objective to support the development and expansion of equine businesses across the Mid-East.
